Learning to take and review digital photographs 21-3-2018
POS: EYFS - Recognise that a range of technology is used in places such as homes and schools.
POS: (KS1)- Use technology purposefully to create, organise, store, manipulate and retrieve digital content. Recognise common uses of information technology beyond school.
We have been learning how to take photographs. This will enable the children in the EYFS to make progress towards being able to select technology appropriate applications that support an identified need, for example in deciding how best to make a record of a special event in their lives, such as a journey on a steam train. It will enable the children in year 1 to create, organise, store, manipulate and retrieve digital content.
We looked at some photographs and decided if they were good photographs. If not we identified what was wrong them.
We talked about making sure you got all of the thing you were photographing in the picture and making sure the photograph was clear (not fuzzy or blurred) by keeping the camera or ipad still and asking the person we are photographing to stay still.
We discussed what was good and bad about this picture and how we could make sure we took good ones.
We worked in pairs, with one ipad for each pair. We took photographs inside and outside. We looked at our photographs and tried to take good ones.
These are some of our good pictures.
We found that it was difficult to take clear and sharp pictures of people who were moving, but we did manage some. Can you tell which ones?
These are some of the bad ones. Can you say what is wrong them?
