Thank you to the staff and children for planning and delivering a very poignant Remembrance Service.
Despite the cold, the children were attentive and respectful as members of class 3 read out the names of all those on the memorial.
We then went inside the church and sang “We will remember”. The children in class 2 read out prayers that they had written, and the children in class 3 shared information they had been given by members of the local history group about Alfred Harold Leonard, known as Tom.
It was very moving to consider that Tom and his family had been involved in the very Church that we were in and that Tom had attended our school. The children also laid poppies that they had made.
Thanks also go to Cannon Williams and the other church members, who made us very welcome and to the parents that were able to join us.
